This week...

The ladies are back at it...here's a first look at our tentative small plates menu paired with boozes.

--Root Vegetable soup with truffle oil paired with (not sure with but probably with a sauvignon blanc)

--Squid Ink Buccatino Pasta (pasta al nirvuro di siccia) paired with De La Montanya 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon

--Pate served with honey and crostini paired with Spanish Mont-Ferrant rose

--Poached Pears and Figs in Zinfandel with Cassis Cream with either Musva Sparkling or J Winery's Pear Liquor

--(possibly)Potato, pumpkin & crab croquettes paired with (not sure yet)

--meatballs served with a Spanish Table recommendation Urban UCO malbec-tempranillo 2007 red from argentina...and i hear Tara might make those crazy delicious artichokes.

I'm workshopping dessert ideas...thinking some kind of butterscotch cake/pudding with a matching scotch or maybe some fruit-infused liquor with herb shortbread (quince/lavender?? kumquats/candied ginger??)...
